Players who have spent time tracking ARC Raiders BluePrints will already know that progression systems can change as the game develops. The Frozen Trail update on October 8 is bringing one of the larger changes, with Raider Decks being replaced by a new Reward Pass structure.

That change does not mean old progression disappears. ARC Raiders BluePrints, previously unlocked rewards, and unfinished Raider Deck content all fit into a broader transition, with the new free Legacy Reward Pass acting as the main route for recovering eligible rewards from earlier decks.

Why the Legacy Pass Matters
The Legacy Reward Pass is aimed at players who have older Raider Deck rewards they never finished collecting. Rather than leaving those rewards behind when the old system retires, Embark Studios is combining previous cosmetics and Raider Tokens into a unified free progression track.

This is particularly useful for players who have returned after taking a break. You may not remember exactly how far you progressed in an older deck, but your already-unlocked rewards will remain available.

The Legacy Pass is therefore less about replacing old progress and more about giving unfinished content a new place in the game.

Previously Earned Rewards Remain Unlocked
The most reassuring part of the transition is that completed progress is being preserved. Anything you already unlocked through the Raider Deck system stays unlocked after the move to Reward Passes.

Players do not have to earn the same cosmetic a second time just because the progression system has changed. The Legacy Pass instead deals with rewards that were missed or left unfinished.

That distinction should make the transition easier for longtime players. If you spent hours completing an older deck, the arrival of Frozen Trail does not erase that work.

Missed Rewards Can Be Earned
The Legacy Pass gives players an opportunity to work toward cosmetics and Raider Tokens from earlier Raider Decks. This includes rewards that players did not reach before the original progression period ended.

That can be especially helpful for casual players. Not everyone can play consistently throughout a full progression cycle, and missing the final few rewards does not necessarily mean those items are gone forever.

Instead, the Legacy Pass brings previous rewards into a shared track. Players can then make progress toward the content they missed while using the new system.

Feats Become the Progression Method
The new Legacy Reward Pass follows the same general progression philosophy as the Frozen Trail Reward Pass. Players advance by completing Feats in the game.

This is an important change from simply following the old Raider Deck structure. Once Frozen Trail arrives, players can continue with normal gameplay while building progress toward Legacy rewards.

For players who already enjoy completing Feats, the system should feel relatively natural. You do not have to treat older rewards as a completely separate game mode. Instead, the Legacy Pass becomes another progression path connected to regular play.

Do Not Confuse Cred With Raider Deck Progress
One area where players need to be careful is Cred. While your Raider Deck progress is preserved, unspent Cred is not.

Embark Studios is retiring Cred when Frozen Trail launches. Any balance remaining on October 8 will expire, so players should not wait for the Legacy Pass to convert it automatically.

If you have Cred left, spend it at Shani or use it to unlock items before the update goes live. This is a separate issue from your Raider Deck rewards, which are being carried into the new system.

Preparing for the Frozen Trail Update
Before October 8, it is worth checking your older Raider Deck progress, identifying anything you still want, and checking your remaining Cred balance. Once Frozen Trail arrives, the free Legacy Reward Pass should provide a straightforward way to continue earning eligible older cosmetics and Raider Tokens through Feats. For players who want to expand their collection after checking those options, ARC Raiders Coins can also be considered as part of their broader approach to managing in-game purchases, but unused Cred should be dealt with before the update.
